About Melissa
Watching a student finally balance a difficult equation after struggling for weeks remains the highlight of my career. My experience includes guiding 179 students through the nuances of numerical problem solving, periodic table and trends, reaction mechanisms, and organic chemistry.
I am currently a PhD candidate at the National University of Singapore. Concepts matter.
I also focus on the mole concept, equation balancing, inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, and chemical bonding to ensure solid foundations. These 12 years of teaching have taught me that clear explanations solve most academic hurdles. I enjoy seeing the lightbulb go off.

Why should chemistry feel like a mystery to be solved under pressure? My teaching philosophy centers on the idea that logic beats memorization every time. We begin with a free trial class to identify weak areas. I assess your grasp of chemical bonding and reaction mechanisms immediately.
We then use my methodical approach to fix those gaps. My role involves stripping away confusion to reveal the patterns underneath.
