About Asad
Having recently achieved A*A*A in my A-levels, I understand what is required to achieve top grades in examinations. I was part of the first cohort to take the reformed Biology and Chemistry A-levels. With a lot of uncertainty as to how best to revise for these exams, I am in an excellent position to give recent and relevant advice to my students.
My teach style is patient, thorough and tailored. During the first lesson I like to really understand my student, what their goals are, what they are struggling with how they best learn. I then cater the lessons to their needs. I also make use of two main techniques: active recall and spaced repetition. Studies show this to tbe the main way students learn and get top grades, therefore after teaching a topic I go through exam questions (active recall) with the student and then do this every so often to make sure the information sticks (spaced repetition)
I have vast amounts of experience when it comes to tutoring and education. I have been a tutor for 4 years! One of my previous students went from bottom set in Maths and Science to top set in his school, in a year and a half. This shows my previous excellent track record.
I am a third year dental student at Barts and The London, and was recently elected the ‘Dental Society President’ representing around 400 students at my university. I am able to help students who are applying to study Medicine or Dentistry, particularly those who need help with personal statements or the UKCAT. (I achieved a top 10% score and band 1 SJT)

Asad has been a great help motivating me and improving my average UKCAT score in preparation to the 2020 entrance. Providing important advice and tips to tackle each section of the exam and making timing a priority early on.
I've been tutored by Asad since year 7 and since then I believe I've grown in my ability in maths and science. His teaching style differs from teachers at school and appeals to a student doing the new style of exams, his teaching style matches best with my personal learning style.
