About Jaylin
In 2014 I matriculated from Roedean School SA with 7 distinctions. Despite my difficulties with understanding and applying maths in highschool, I was still able to achieve a distinction. Thus, I understand more than most how it feels to struggle with a subject. I have patience, and many tricks and ways to help understand things a bit better.
I have a general BA degree (with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand. I also have honours in psychology (with distinction) from the same university.
I have been tutoring since the end of 2015. I love teaching and tutoring mathematics the most. However, my studies in psychology means that the PGCE I am currently studying for will comprise mostly of Life Orientation.

I believe in planning lessons on a student's ability, not just the curriculum they are expected to cover. I do not see the point in forcing students to follow through with a curriculum without understanding fundamental concepts. Thus, I believe in helping students with the basics, giving them confidence to handle more difficult tasks. The student should always try first, and I will always be there to nudge them in the right direction.

I usually charge R120 per hour for lessons, however depending on subject and grade, this can be discussed.
When travel is required, I require R2 per km.
