I've been taking piano lessons with Steven for seven and a half years now. He's an amazing teacher, and a wonderful person. When I started taking lessons with him, I knew nothing about piano, so we started with the basics of reading music and playing simple songs. Since then, he's transformed me into an advanced pianist, teaching me how to play and sing many popular songs such as "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John, "I Feel the Earth Move" by Carole King, "Piano Man" by Billy Joel, and is now teaching me "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. Steven makes every lesson fun and exciting!

As my teacher, Steven is incredibly talented. He has decades of experience and delivers lessons easily and patiently. Highly recommended.

When I started taking lessons with Steven, I already had some previous guitar experience from working on and off with other instructors. What stood out immediately was his ability to meet me where I was skill-wise and help me grow from a beginner player into a much more confident and advanced musician. Steven is not only a talented guitarist and vocalist, but also an excellent teacher who knows how to build a strong foundation and then help students progress incrementally in a way that feels encouraging and achievable. His teaching style is patient, knowledgeable, and motivating. I also supported my younger daughter's wish to begin piano instruction with him. She began as a novice, and now she is a very talented superstar giving significant competition to some of the greats!

I have been doing vocal and piano lessons with Steve. Over the time I have been, not only have I noticed a huge improvement, but friends, family, and strangers have too. When I began to perform again, after taking a long break, I started getting standing ovations! And this was after I started working with him! He goes into every lesson in such a good mood which encourages you and pushes you to do better all the time. He goes above and beyond for all his students, And I highly recommend him!

His resume and experience speaks for itself. Steven is well informed. I had an audition to prepare for in just 3 weeks and I've never felt confident that I would ace it and leave the judges in spades. I learned the importance of vowels, diphthongs, having a steady and heavy tongue that's out of the way for proper air flow and so much more. You want to be good, this guy is for you!

Steven is a fantastic teacher. I have had a couple of music teachers throughout my life so I can say this with confidence, he is the very best. He has a deep understanding of the fundamentals of music theory and proper playing technique, all of which he is able to break down in a way that a beginner student can understand and implement. He also picks amazing pieces at the right skill level to keep me motivated as a student. In a short time, I have made great strides in guitar and even voice. I look forward to lessons every week.

My time in being instructed by Mr. Steve on piano was a great, informative experience. Ever since the first lesson, he is a very good teacher that clearly knows what he is doing. Mr. Bruce taught me at my own pace, taking time to help me work on skills, especially small details that help me perform much better. He is a very skilled instructor, teaching me pieces from not only music books that he provides, but also the valuable skill of learning by ear, a skill few other teachers bother to touch on. Mr. Steve has helped on a number of occasions with songs that I am learning on my own and fit time into our lessons to work on them. He is always willing to let the student work on what they like as well as what he gives out. When I once mentioned my liking for jazz, we soon started an in-depth series of lessons into the genre, teaching me much more than I ever knew prior to it. I’ve never felt pressured by my assignments and pieces to bring home, as Mr. Steve knows everyone goes at their own pace and can take anytime from a few days to a few weeks to learn a song. My time with him was a very fun and informative time that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Steven has incredible talent in all areas of music but the thing I enjoy most is that he is able to inspire as he teaches. My 14 year old son has been taking some piano, mostly guitar and now voice with him for about 2 years. The growth we have witnessed is outstanding.
