About Miki
Once I graduated from high school, I moved to the US and I have lived and worked in Los Angeles for almost 2 decades. Now that I've lived abroad for so long, I appreciate my Japanese heritage more than ever, and I'd like to share that with others in forms of lessons. Through learning Japanese conversations, we can have a casual conversation, talk about movies and comic books, or dive deep into Shintoism to learn deeper about the language. I truly believe that if you don't learn about the country, you will never be 100% fluent.

My focus is to answer your questions about Japanese culture, how we think and act, to help you achieve how you want to look and act in front of Japanese (or when you are in Japan). My lesson will always start by me asking what you'd like to learn. I will create lessons per your needs, i.e. you want to have a casual conversation with a shopkeeper, or to have a deep conversation with a monk at a temple.
