About Rachael
I am currently studying flute performance at Washburn University. I have played for 10 years, am an All-State musician and have performed in a world-renowned venue, The Sydney Opera House. I have been playing flute since around fifth grade, and have earned many awards since then, including the John Phillip Sousa Award. I started teaching lesson two years ago and have worked with a dynamic level of students from learning how to simply put the flute together without damaging it, to learn how to develop vibrato. I absolutely love working and seeing students grow, and can't wait to start working with you!

My teaching method very step by step. I approach each student with an analytical point of view at first, so I can try to determine the level of the student and how the student learns, because I acknowledge that every student learns differently. I like to keep my teaching environment light and encouraging, so the student has the positive encouragement to live up to their fullest potential.
