About Carly
I have been part of the tutoring world for aproximately 3 years now, starting with a small group of 4 people (ages 18-46), where I learned the difference of how people learn (visual, auditive, acting it out), therefore making it much easier for me in this journey with relating to my students and their needs. Past students have found me accomodating, patient, and very profesional during our teaching hours. I personally have delt with issues staying focused and retaining information, so I find it easy to relate to my students and help them feel more comfortable and entertained during class, while also focusing on retaining everything we have learned. I enjoy working with everyone, though I have found that my classes with teenagers end up being much more lighthearted. If you love hands-on and interactive work, with all ages, at any level... This is the opportunity for the both of us!!

Most my lessons are very hands on and interactive, I like to show key and connector words, start forming them into sentences, then procede to act out an 'in real life' scenario. I like to ask my students to take the time and rewatch a movie you now well, but in the new language we are learning.
I have found myself working mainly with young teens and adults, though I have the knowledge and experience to work with and teach a much younger child. Depending on the student, I like to teach them actual 'slang' words that are common on a day to day basis, I feel like this sets them apart from the vast majority of poeple who are learning a new language.
One thingI do that i feel is worth menationing are my 'Past, Present, and Future' boxes I ask my students to fill out, consisting of the 'Word of the day', then we go through and fill in the box with all the words variations.
