Initially, I assimilate the learner's current level, then I aim to challenge them with a problem at their level (such as a situation where an algorithm needs to be designed), the learner will then be guided through the problem, highlighting key issues and contextual items to be understood.
Where the learner is unsure of a particular concept, I will adapt the workflow to focus on that key area, developing their understanding, then revisiting the problem.
I always intend to make sessions student-led: for programming questions, I inspire the student to talk about their train of thought, what they think of the problem and how they would approach it, giving them hints and leading them on the correct path.

I have been learning from this person for a long back not only on this platform but through different means also. He is one of the finest people I have come across for so long.
