About Jon-Mark
Hello, I’m Jon-Mark. I enjoy teaching! I’ve taught in probably a hundred different companies, had one or two thousand students and many thousands of classes over the years. I've made bridges to many different types of people at all levels.
I’m fascinated by languages, especially my own (English). I'm CELTA certified - the top ESL cert. Got that while teaching in Japan after college. Later moved to Germany; I'm fascinated by Europe! 17 years in Hamburg and Munich.
Now my Polish wife, kids and I live in Virginia, USA. I also love recording music and writing lyrics.

Hello, I want you to learn relevant, real-world English for your life and work! A communicative approach.
We will plan the curriculum together. If it's English for business, I have materials for Human Resources, Accounting, Supply Chain and Logistics, Media, Automotive, Pharma, etc.
General business English categories: telephoning, emails, meetings, presentations and negotiations. I call them The Big Five!
A standard hour includes warm-up (directed talks), you explaining a new word or phrase to me, the main exercise/article/video/material (analyzed different ways, with input and output phases), accent work if you wish, intercultural details and perhaps a grammar point.
I always want people to create their own "personal dictionary". You simply document things about English that are new to you! It could be spelling, pronunciation, a new word or phrase, a grammar detail, etc.
I need 10 minutes to get familiar with your English and your interests. I know you want to get better, also you want to FEEL better about English.
We have reading and listening (passive) and writing and speaking (active). Speaking is the most difficult, right?
Again, "your success is my goal". That means language success. Business English, a bridge to the world!
