About Basma

Hi! I’m Basma, a 4th Year Medical Student studying at the University of Sheffield. I’m an experienced GCSE and A-level Biology tutor, and also provide support for medical school applications, including personal statement reviews and interview preparation. I’ve always had a passion for Biology, as it was my initial gateway to developing an interest in Medicine. Teaching brings me real fulfilment. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping someone gain confidence and excel in something they once found difficult. I believe that the most effective learning occurs when lessons are tailored to an individual's needs and learning style. I endeavour to follow this approach in each lesson. Feel free to get in touch to arrange a session or ask any questions. I look forward to supporting your academic journey!

About the lesson

I am a friendly and approachable tutor dedicated to helping you be the best you can be! I have a strong academic background and a real passion for helping others understand and enjoy the subject. Whether you're working towards GCSE or A-Level exams, I’m here to support you every step of the way. I always ensure to tailor my lessons to the needs of the individual student, and can help you create a personalised learning plan that we can work towards, in an environment that builds confidence, improves understanding, and leads to real progress.

Basma has been an amazing tutor, completely transforming my education & my exam results! I was really struggling with A-Level Biology, but her sessions explained each topic thoroughly and helped me with exam-specific advice so I could work out where I was losing easy marks. I’m now a medical student studying in London, and this couldn’t have been possible without her help!
