About Rumi
Hi! I'm Rumi from Chiba, Japan.
I completed a 420-hour Japanese teacher training course and have taught over 1,400 lessons to 78 students from around the world.
I worked in customer support at one of Japan's largest life insurance companies for six years. Now, I specialize in Japanese conversation, helping students build confidence and improve their speaking skills.
I also lived and worked in Australia using English, so I understand both the challenges and the excitement of learning a new language. If you're a beginner, don't worry—I can explain Japanese in English when needed.
In my free time, I love anime, manga, history, and traveling. I enjoy meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures and hobbies.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students become more confident and enjoy speaking Japanese. I look forward to meeting you!
