About Rose
1st year biomedical science student at Lancaster university (a Top 10 UK university) who is dedicated and committed to giving each student a sense of self-assurance, support, and the ability to make significant progress. I break down difficult concepts into small, doable steps and modify my teaching strategies to fit the needs and pace of each student. I teach with patience, clarity, and structure. Hello, I’m Rose, a 1st year Biomedical science student at Lancaster university (a top 10 UK university). I am a supportive and student-focused tutor dedicated to helping students grow in confidence and understanding. My teaching approach centres on calm, clear explanations, step-by-step guidance working closely with mark schemes, and plenty of practice, all adapted to each student’s goals and learning style. I use a mixture of discussion, real-world examples, and active recall techniques to make lessons engaging. Each session I run usually lasts 1 hour, giving us enough time to build skills without feeling rushed. I have had lots of experience tutoring "the sciences and maths" at GCSE level and also have lots of industry experience such as Pfizer and gene projects. At GCSE I obtained 8s in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics and during my A-levels I got offers from all 5 universities I applied for and obtained Bs in Biology and Chemistry. I currently offer lessons for Biology and Chemistry GCSE for all exam boards! In these lessons I also offer guidance for the next steps into A levels and applying to university. I hope I can share my experience and support your young one today!
