About Kankana

Hello! I'm Kankana, a Biology tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology (Honors) from Calcutta University and with an experience in teaching ICSE students from Classes 6 to 10 through one-on-one home tuition.

I enjoy making biology simple, engaging, and easy to understand. My teaching focuses on building strong concepts rather than memorizing facts. I use diagrams, flowcharts, real-life examples, and interactive discussions to help students understand topics clearly and perform confidently in exams.

I can help students with:
• Biology for Classes 6–10 (ICSE, CBSE, and other school boards)
• Homework assistance
• Exam preparation
• Revision and doubt-clearing sessions
• Personalized Study Plan
Every student learns differently, so I customize each lesson according to the student's pace, strengths, and academic goals.

Whether you're preparing for school exams, improving your grades, or simply looking to understand biology better, I'll work with you step by step to build confidence and make learning enjoyable.

About the lesson

My lessons are interactive, student-focused, and designed to make biology easy to understand.

A typical lesson includes:
• A quick review of previous concepts
• Clear explanations using simple language
• Diagrams and visual learning techniques
• Practice questions during class
• Doubt-solving and discussion
• Short quizzes for revision

I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson because understanding the concept is more important than memorizing definitions.

Lessons are adapted to each student's learning style, whether they need help catching up, preparing for exams, or strengthening their fundamentals.

Kankana is an amazing teacher who helped me with Class 7 biology. I love how confident and clear she is,she actually explains how things work, like cells, instead of just making me memorize stuff. When I was studying for a big exam together, she broke down a really tough chapter until it finally made sense. She really knows her stuff and makes hard topics easy.
