About Laura

After attending NIH/National Human Genome Research Institute's Short Course in Genomics for Educators, I knew I had found my passion! I light up whenever I'm given the chance to be part of the launch crew for someone to discover the wide and wonderful world of computational biology.

About the lesson

I'm a detail-oriented, thorough tutor and always prioritize making connections in the material in a way that is memorable and easy to understand for YOU. The educational environment I create is judgment-free, personalized, fun, and focused on developing a strong foundational understanding of "pain-point" topics. I teach primarily high school and college students in all things STEM, with a passion for bioinformatics, genomics, and Python!

M.S. in Bioinformatics + B.S. in Cellular Neuroscience and am passionate about effective and immersive teaching!
