About Samuel

A graduate of the Victoria College of the Arts Opera Studio (Melbourne, Australia), your tutor now works as an Arts Manager with offices in New York and London, collaborating with singers, conductors and opera directors working at the highest level including contracts at the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, San Francisco, Opera Australia and many others. Teaching and helping new audiences better understand the performing arts is the most rewarding part of working in this field, and tutoring people who want to learn and discover Opera and the field of Classical Music is a tremendous privilege.

About the lesson

Your sessions will be tailored to exactly your needs - whether they be wanting to know what to expect when the curtain goes up, what to wear, the best place to sit in the theatre - talking to an arts professional is the best way to know how to get the most out of this remarkable art-form. If you've never been to a live classical concert or opera before - this is a perfect way to go in knowing the essentials. If you're already a regular attendee and want to sound like a real aficionado talking at dinner-parties and at the intermission, no problem - we can move to whatever tempo suits you best. You can also be provided with digital material you can study and listen to in your own time, broadening your knowledge base and deepening your understanding of some of the world's greatest cultural achievements. And remember, Opera may be serious (some of the time), but with us you'll you're guaranteed to have a laugh or two as well.
