About Austin

Hello! I’ve been playing for 11 years, and it is one of my greatest joys. Over the years, I’ve participated in private lessons, music festivals, and competitions. In particular, I participated in the American Protégé Competition, where I was a first place winner. I’ve also played dozens of times at church, and I am currently a part-time pianist at Buchanan Presbyterian Church. I love all genres of music on piano, but classical is my favorite. I am here to help you with any piece or challenge you’re working on!

About the lesson

I have taught piano lessons before, and I always enjoy sharing my passion for piano with others. You tell me how you want to improve, and I will help you achieve that. Please reach out and message me if you’re interested in trying a lesson. I teach complete beginners to advanced pianists.

Austin's mastery of piano balances his love for the craft with a solid foundation of technique and emotional maturity. I would reccomend him for anyone looking to find a piano instructor who not only teaches but also listens to their students and their needs!

I first met Austin at the Virginia Governors Spanish academy when I barely knew any piano and it was a very small part of my life. During the 3 weeks at the academy, Austin exponentially improved my knowledge of music theory and first introduced piano technique to me. Not having a piano teacher upon returning home, I continued to consult Austin when I was unsure and he was able to effectively convey technical piano concepts over instant message. Thanks to Austin I have progressed to the level of performing songs like Nocturne in F minor Op. 55 No. 1 and Liebestraum No. 3. He is a great piano teacher and an even kinder person. Highly recommended!
