About Ayushi
I have worked part time from 2022 as a peer tutor for university students. As a part of my role I have received extensive formal training on how to go about tutoring.
My goal with each session is not only to help students understand concepts, but also help you become an independent learner by understanding what study habits work for you.

I have two years of one-on-one tutoring experience with diverse students, focusing on fostering independence and effective study habits.
I believe a tutoring session should not be another lecture! Along with learning, a tutoring session should help the student cultivate the skills they need to become independent learner. I help students understand what strategies work for them, and how they can tackle their course work in the future.
To make the most of every session I go the extra mile to use open ended questions, because the student should be an active participant in their learning. As a part of my job, I have been trained in incorporating active learning strategies into sessions. This generally looks like making students pause and summarize what they learned, and how they learned it, something that they can apply to future lessons without anyone's guidance eventually.
