About Phil
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at ANU, studying the relationship between black holes and galaxies using numerical simulations written in c. I completed my secondary school studies in the UK, achieving `A' grades in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, before doing a 4-year physics Masters at the University of Oxford (2:1), and an astrophysics PhD at the University of Hertfordshire. I have taught undergraduate classes at ANU, and given less formal help to friends over the years.

To learn a programming language like c, I think it's absolutely vital to properly understand the basics before trying to tackle anything more complex. Beyond this, I will provide worked examples and lots of practice to build the student's capabilities and confidence.
