About Kenneth
I am an experienced tutor with over 11 years of expertise in mathematics, electrical and electronic engineering, and programming. What distinguishes me as a tutor is my unique academic journey. Starting in the Normal Technical stream, I progressed through ITE (Nitec and Higher Nitec), followed by Temasek Polytechnic, and graduated from Nanyang Technological University. Currently I am taking a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at NUS.
Having overcome various academic challenges, I bring a deep understanding of the struggles students may face. This personal experience allows me to connect with students on a meaningful level, particularly those who feel discouraged, and to inspire them with the belief that success is attainable through perseverance and the right guidance. My passion for teaching stems from a deep desire to support individuals who struggle with mathematics, helping them not only grasp mathematical concepts but also develop an intuition for the subject. I aim to inspire students to view mathematics as more than just an academic requirement by demonstrating its practical applications in everyday life. For instance, a simple linear graph is not merely a mathematical representation. It can hold a multitude of meanings and connections from explaining the mechanics behind their favorite games to the technology powering their smartphones. Through this approach, I strive to make mathematics engaging, relatable, and meaningful. In my current role as a Post-Silicon Test Engineer, I apply mathematics, physics, and programming daily in my work. This constant interaction with these disciplines is integral to my responsibilities, as I play a crucial role in the development and validation of state-of-the-art semiconductor chips used in smartphones, automobiles, computers and data centers.
