Super tutor

Nina is one of our best Biology tutors. High-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Nina

I began tutoring almost three years ago, and did so full time for the past year, now beginning my studies at the University of Sheffield. I have fostered a collaborative, creative approach, and students appreciate my enthusiastic nature. This support enables them to progress in leaps and bounds, which has consistently been reflected in my students' improved results. I have a strong academic background, having achieved straight A*s at A-level, and I am keen to push my students to do the same!

About the lesson

I am comfortable with both paring back to the fundamentals of Biology and stretching my students’ understanding to reach for those higher grades.
Every lesson I teach is tailored to my students' needs, which I am skilled at identifying. I work to find and solidify pressure points within the curriculum, using the relevant exam board's specification as a checklist. I incorporate regular exam question practice into lessons, a practice that is particularly crucial to Biology.
Having had my A level 25-mark essay used as an exemplar, I am comfortable focusing on this aspect of the paper. I understand of the common pitfalls when answering the question, and work to catalyse responses that really showcase my students' knowledge levels.
I am also happy to teach Biology GCSE as part of a wider package, with experience teaching Chemistry and Physics at this level.
