About Nicola

I am Nicola Bagnoli, a Music Composition major from Akron University with an extensive background in music and technology. Over the years, I have cultivated a rich and diverse professional life that spans across teaching, sound engineering, live performance, and entrepreneurship. My journey in music began over fifteen years ago with a focus on sound synthesis, which laid the foundation for my expansive career in electronic music production.

As a piano music teacher for five years at Gulia Music in Canton, Ohio, I designed personalized learning programs and helped students prepare for professional performances. My role as a Recording Studio Engineer at Redball Records allowed me to collaborate with artists to create high-quality recordings, blending my technical skills with creative vision.

Beyond teaching and engineering, I owned and operated Apt 3 Studios, LLC as CEO, where I honed my leadership and business skills. My passion for sound has also been expressed through my extensive collection of hardware synthesizers and drum machines, and my proficiency in various DAW software like Logic, enhancing my capabilities in electronic music production.

With a minor in Entrepreneurship, I have not only built businesses but have also designed innovative software solutions in the gaming industry, reflecting my adaptability and forward-thinking approach. My current technological interests include 3D Printing, Blockchain, and AI development, which complement my music production by integrating cutting-edge technologies into my creative process.

In my spare time, I enjoy a wide range of hobbies from skydiving to woodworking, each adding a unique flavor to my life and work. I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of music and technology, always eager to explore new sonic landscapes and technological advancements.

About the lesson

As a dedicated Music Composition major from Akron University, I bring a wealth of diverse experience to the world of music education and production. With five years of teaching solo piano, I have developed a deep understanding of the nuances of musical expression and technique. My four years as a studio engineer have equipped me with a profound knowledge of audio technology and production, complementing my extensive experience running sound and performing live for over seven years.

In addition to my formal education and practical experiences, I have spent a decade mastering electronic music production, crafting sounds and compositions that push creative boundaries. My passion for sound synthesis extends over fifteen years, allowing me to explore and innovate within this fascinating field. This combination of practical experience, technical expertise, and creative exploration forms the foundation of my teaching philosophy, where I aim to inspire and educate aspiring musicians in a dynamic and engaging manner.
