About Alex
As a classical pianist and enthusiastic teacher, I create a positive learning environment where creativity and expression can flourish. I customize lessons to suit individual needs, blending technical skills with a deep passion for music. With a particular fascination for Bach's works, I also facilitate several baby music classes in the North Shore area near Boston under the name 'Bach and Boogie.' Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my one-year-old daughter, running in local conservation land, and flying my drone.

As a passionate NEC-trained amateur classical pianist, I believe in fostering a love for music through a creative and engaging approach. I incorporate a variety of techniques, including the Suzuki method, to develop strong listening skills and musicality in my students. Each lesson is tailored to the individual, blending technique practice with improvisation and music theory to ensure a well-rounded musical education.
A typical lesson begins with warm-up exercises to build technical skills, followed by exploring repertoire that matches the student's interests and skill level. I encourage students to express themselves through music, whether by playing, singing, or even dancing. I also incorporate fun activities, such as rhythm games or using other instruments, to make learning exciting and enjoyable.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my emphasis on creativity and expression, allowing students to explore their unique musical voices while building a solid foundation in classical piano. I especially enjoy working with beginners, whether they are 5 years old or 32! Intermediate students are also welcome.
