About Mason

With over 5 years of experience as a piano tutor, I specialize in both classical and jazz piano instruction, catering to students of all ages and skill levels. My journey into music began early, driven by a passion for the piano and a desire to share that love with others. Over the years, I’ve developed a teaching philosophy that balances technical skill-building with creative expression, ensuring that each student receives a comprehensive and enjoyable learning experience.

I hold a degree in Music and have studied under renowned pianists, which has provided me with a solid foundation in various musical styles and pedagogical approaches. My expertise extends beyond classical and jazz to include diverse genres like soul, pop, and funk. This breadth of knowledge allows me to offer a well-rounded curriculum that can be tailored to each student’s interests and goals.

In my teaching, I emphasize a personalized approach, adapting lessons to fit the unique needs and musical preferences of each student. Whether you’re looking to master a classical piece, explore jazz improvisation, or delve into contemporary styles, I provide instruction that is both engaging and effective. My aim is to help students build confidence, develop their musical skills, and enjoy their piano journey.

I believe that learning music should be a fulfilling and inspiring experience. My commitment is to create a supportive and motivating environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential. If you’re looking to deepen your piano skills or explore new musical horizons, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

My piano lessons are designed to accommodate students of all ages and skill levels, providing a personalized approach that caters to individual musical interests and goals. With over 5 years of teaching experience, I offer instruction in both classical and jazz piano, ensuring that each lesson aligns with your unique preferences and learning style.

In our classical lessons, we focus on building a strong foundation in technique, theory, and interpretation. Whether you’re a beginner learning the basics or an advanced student aiming to master complex compositions, my lessons will help you develop a deep understanding of classical repertoire and enhance your technical proficiency. We explore works from various periods, including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary, ensuring a well-rounded classical education.

For jazz enthusiasts, my lessons emphasize improvisation, rhythm, and chord progressions. We delve into jazz standards, explore different styles like bebop and fusion, and work on developing your personal improvisational skills. My goal is to help you gain confidence in your ability to play and create jazz music, offering guidance on both solo and ensemble performance.

In addition to classical and jazz, I also offer instruction in diverse styles such as soul, pop, and funk. Each lesson is tailored to your interests, incorporating techniques and songs from these genres to keep your learning experience engaging and enjoyable. By combining technical skill-building with a focus on your musical preferences, I aim to make each lesson both productive and inspiring.
