Becky's Violin Studio, Est. 1997 has served 100's of students of all ages for over twenty years. Suzuki Method is used as well as traditional classical methods, the Mark O'Connor method, other fiddle methods and memorization and music reading skills are also taught. Performance is included in music goals we set, there is a Play Party (or recital) every four months and participation in public music is supported. The studio Advanced Quartet plays regularly at rest homes, at Play Parties and churches.

I think that what I most enjoy in my work is watching, helping and training students in how to learn and grow. Everyone is invited to "perform" in Play Parties, as part of their musical growth. I really simply enjoy watching students learn! Musical growth is like personal growth. I tend to think that personal growth leads to growth in instrumental playing, and vice versa. My basic philosophy is that Learning Music is Fun and it needs to be experienced as fun for there to be growth.
