About Becca
My 30 years' experience in teaching fashion design in universities has taught me that no two students are the same, my job is to make you the best you can be, to show you ways of enhancing your talents and skills while showing you how to improve where you feel weaker.
Although I have left full-time teaching in order to run my own fashion business (a sustainable men's and womenswear brand) I still work in fashion outreach, going into schools to run design workshops, do mock interviews and portfolio reviews.
I know how stressful it can be to produce a portfolio and prepare for exams and interviews so my workshops go at your speed.
I know a lot of tricks of how to produce great work quickly as well as what universities are looking for and how to convince them you are right for their course. I can also help you with clothes production methods and outcomes.

Exciting and productive 2D/3D design workshops to boost your portfolio in order to maximise your chance of success at interview or examination.
I am happy to be led by what you want/need to achieve, building the workshop around you.
Options include how to explore and exploit your reference/theme, how to design creatively and quickly through collage, the use of design detailing, colour and textile development, producing concepts on the stand, illustration, design drawing and fashion photography, collection development, pattern cutting and clothes production.
I would also be very happy to review your current work and advise on how to improve and enhance it for interview, for both digital and physical portfolios.
Sessions last a minimum of 1 hour and will suit A Level, BTEC, foundation and BA students,
I ran the Fashion foundation at Ravensbourne University for 15 years, (previously I taught at the London College of Fashion) responsibilities included prepping students for interviews as well as writing and running workshops and projects and how to produce exciting and creative portfolios. I have had a lot of success helping students gain places at the top universities. I now run a successful fashion design company in Kent.
