About Thembinkosi
I'm a singer, composer/arranger, conductor, recording engineer/producer, and a cappella specialist. I'm the owner and founder of TLP Music – Studios & Publishing, of which I record and produce rehearsal tracks for choirs, and a self-publisher through Sheet Music Plus, where I digitally publish my choral arrangements online. I specialize in choral music, a cappella arranging, recording & producing tracks, and African choral music. I schooled at Ferrum High School since 2005. Matriculated in 2011 with one Distinction for Music. I sang in the Ferrum High School Choir (2007 - 2011), the NKZN Youth Choir (2008 - 2011), played in a musical, "Bugsy Malone" in 2008 and obtained numerous awards for music and art until the end of high school. I studied Music Production at Creative Arts College - Durban Campus (2013 - 2015) and obtained a Diploma in Music Technology & Sound Engineering (graduated in 2016). I've been a vocal coach (freelancing) for the KZN Midlands Youth Choir since 2014 for their choir workshops/camps. I was a former music teacher, vocal coach, sound manager and assistant conductor at Newcastle High School (January 2020 - April 2021). I'm currently running my freelance business at home, hoping to expand to other platforms and interact with others digitally.
