About Mia

Hi! My name’s Mia, I’m 19, and I’m currently studying Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield. In my free time, I enjoy music — listening, watching live performances, and playing guitar and piano! I like to think I’m friendly and approachable, and I love helping others. I’m excited to support you and help you discover the fun and satisfaction in learning.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is all about finding a way of learning that works for you. Lessons are relaxed and supportive, so you’ll always feel comfortable asking questions — no matter how small. Each session is tailored to your needs, whether that’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or building confidence. As a Biomedical Science student at the University of Sheffield, I understand the pressures of school and exams. My aim is to guide students through that stress by boosting both confidence and ability, so they feel ready to succeed. I take time to understand how you learn best, explain concepts clearly, and break down complex ideas into simple steps. My goal is to make sessions engaging and encouraging, leaving you more confident each time. Tutoring isn’t just about grades and memorisation — it’s about building real understanding and enjoying the process of learning to unlock your full potential!
