My lessons will be mainly focused on the combination of two disciplines of Musical Theatre, being Acting and Singing. Being able to Act and being able to Sing are necessary tools for your belt as a performer, but being able to Act THROUGH song is truly what separates good theatre performers from great ones.

I have been in and around music and theatre for a very long time, I was actively involved in the Wimborne AmDram scene as well as attending several different out of school providers in my journey of developing my passion. At 16 I made the decision to attend LeAF Studio School for my 6th form and that is where I was truly shaped and guided towards the skills and steps it takes to make a living on a stage. LeAF nurtured my natural ability as a vocalist and as an actor into a curated and personally tailored approach to using one's voice and body to elicit emotion and tell an interesting story.

I was at The Brighton Academy for 4 years and we had ATS (acting through song) classes as many as 3 times a week. In those classes I learnt the importance of understanding the context of what you're singing and implementing the proper vocal and acting techniques to suit any song, for any character, in any context. I began my first Choir of Man contract in the same year I graduated from College and I further honed and perfected my skillset as a singer actor with real time experience. I performed to a packed out 1000 seat theatre 6 times a week for 18 months and over that time I have cultivated what I believe to be the most effective techniques and exercises to build, grow and maintain your voice while delivering emotional and engaging performances.
