About Yih Ping

I am deeply passionate about teaching Math as I have always enjoyed studying and learning new Math topics in School. I have a deep desire to pass this on to others, so that they do not feel that Math is a chore in School. I believe that all students are capable of enjoying the process of learning, which in turn will lead to better results in Examinations, without the pain of doing something they do not enjoy. If you choose me, I promise that you will have a fun time learning, and not only will your grades improve, you will enjoy the process of doing so!

About the lesson

I like to create a fun and relaxed yet conducive learning environment for my students. Instead of learning because they have to, I do my best to teach in a way where they desire to learn more. I start by cultivating a friendship-like dynamic with my students, ensuring that they feel comfortable making mistakes or asking questions when they are unsure! I teach math in a way where students truly understand the topics, instead of blindly memorizing formulas or methods. I also put a deep emphasis on problem-solving skills, which is essential for excelling in Examinations!

Typically teach 1.5-2 hours per lesson, multiple times a week if possible.

I have taught O and A levels Math over 4 years as a student. My students improved from Cs and Ds to As for the final exam over the span of a few months. My studies in Further Math also give me a deeper understanding of all Math topics taught in the Secondary and JC syllabus.
