About Fatima
Hello! My name is Fatima and my journey into tutoring actually began during my own GCSE years. I had tutoring myself, but I found that some of my experiences were not always as supportive or effective as I had hoped. That experience motivated me to become the type of tutor I wish I had — someone approachable, patient and genuinely invested in helping students succeed.
During my GCSEs, I spent a lot of time experimenting with different revision and learning techniques to find methods that worked best for me. Through that process, I realised that every student learns differently, which is why I strongly believe there is no single approach to teaching. I now use this understanding in my tutoring by adapting lessons to suit each student’s learning style and needs.
I have two years of tutoring experience across both online and face-to-face settings, and I genuinely love what I do. One of the most rewarding parts of tutoring is seeing students gain confidence and hearing positive feedback from both students and parents when hard work translates into results on paper. Seeing students achieve grades they once doubted they could reach is what makes tutoring so fulfilling for me.
Outside of my studies and tutoring, I enjoy baking, playing cricket and spending time with friends and family. I believe having interests outside of academics helps me build strong connections with students and create a relaxed, friendly learning environment where they feel comfortable and supported.

As a tutor with experience of over 2 years, I understand that every student learns differently and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. I work with students that require support in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and adapt lessons based on their strengths, areas for improvement and learning needs.
I have experience supporting students with different educational needs and understand the importance of patience, flexibility and creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions. I aim to build not only subject knowledge but also confidence, helping students feel less overwhelmed and more capable in their studies.
Lessons are typically around 60 minutes long and include active learning techniques such as worked examples, exam-style questions, recall practice and simplified explanations of difficult concepts. I focus heavily on understanding rather than memorisation and ensure students learn effective revision and exam techniques alongside content.
I also offer support outside of lesson time because I know learning does not stop when the session ends. Students are welcome to message me with questions, send work for feedback or marking, or ask for extra help if they are struggling with a topic. I aim to be approachable and available so students feel supported throughout their learning journey, not just during scheduled sessions.
My goal is to create lessons that are productive, encouraging and personalised so students can improve both academically and in confidence.
