About Madisyn
Hi there! I'm a 15-year-old aspiring teacher with a 4.0 GPA and a true passion for helping others learn. As the oldest of five siblings—all under the age of 10—I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience working with kids, which has taught me patience, creativity, and how to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. I currently tutor middle and lower school students, and I love getting to know each learner personally—whether it’s their favorite food, a show they’re into, or what makes them laugh. I believe building those connections helps make learning more fun and effective. What sets me apart is that I'm not just a tutor—I’m someone who really gets what it’s like to be a student today. I'm close in age to many of my students, which makes it easier for me to connect and communicate with them in a way that feels natural and judgment-free. Outside of academics, I’m a proud nerd! I love anime, drawing, comic books—you name it. I try to bring that same creativity and energy into every lesson I teach. As a tutor, I believe in building real connections with my students. I take time to learn about their interests—whether it's their favorite foods or hobbies—so I can make each lesson more engaging and relatable.
My typical lesson includes clear objectives, direct instruction, guided and independent practice, and thoughtful closure to reinforce learning. I often revisit closure to ensure understanding and boost confidence.
What sets me apart is my age—I’m closer to my students in experience and perspective, which helps me connect with them in a way that feels natural and authentic. I work primarily with middle and lower school scholars, creating a learning space that’s both structured and supportive.
