About Auggie

Hey there! My name is Augustine and I have been crocheting for many many years now! What started as a small hobby turned into lots of large blankets.

I am very friendly, patient, and I love to chat with others. I truly enjoy helping people learn something new, especially when it turns into a relaxing and creative outlet. Watching someone go from not knowing how to hold a hook to creating something they’re proud of is one of my favorite parts of tutoring.

Crochet has always been a comforting and creative space for me, and I love sharing that with others. Whether you’re completely new or just looking to improve, I’m here to make the experience enjoyable and encouraging every step of the way.

English

My approach as a tutor is patient, encouraging, and tailored especially for beginners. I focus on building confidence first, because crochet can feel overwhelming at the start—but with the right guidance, it becomes relaxing and rewarding!

Teaching Method & Techniques
I use a step-by-step, hands-on approach. I demonstrate each stitch slowly, break techniques into simple parts, and guide students as they practice. I also adapt to different learning styles—whether you prefer visual demonstrations, written patterns, or repetition. Mistakes are part of the process, so I create a supportive space where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.

Typical Lesson Plan
A lesson usually begins with a quick review of previous skills, followed by introducing a new technique (like a basic stitch or pattern). Then we practice together in real time, with guidance and corrections as needed. During the sessions, students are welcome to have a goal or project in mind so we can work together to achieve it!

What Sets Me Apart
What makes my tutoring unique is the positive and structured environment I create. I focus not only on teaching crochet, but also on making the experience enjoyable and confidence-boosting. I’m very patient and encouraging, and I make sure each lesson feels like progress rather than pressure.

Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are perfect for complete beginners or those with some experience. Whether you’ve never picked up a hook before or need help understanding your dream project, I will guide you from the very start!
