About Arlene
Hallo! My name is Arlene.
I am a passionate, enthusiastic, and creative German teacher with over six years of experience giving grinds to students of all levels. I am a qualified secondary school teacher and a graduate of the Bachelor of Education in Gaeilge and German at DCU.
I have lived in Germany, which has given me a strong understanding of the language, culture, and everyday communication. I am currently teaching every year of German in secondary school, and I have an in-depth knowledge of the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate German courses.
My lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s needs, abilities, and goals. I place a strong focus on exam technique, helping students build confidence in listening, reading, writing, and oral skills while developing effective strategies to maximize exam performance.
Through encouragement, positive reinforcement, and engaging teaching methods, I aim to make learning German enjoyable, structured, and rewarding for every learner.
