About Isabel

I am a freelance music teacher in various primary schools (various instruments -- namely keyboards, ipad music, percussion), preschools (music and movement, keyboards), and a private leisure piano teacher (toddlers and working adults).

I have been teaching music since graduating. In 2016, I graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (UK) with a BA(Hons) Music. I specialised in Songwriting and Performing.

In 2017, I went for four music pedagogy workshops and seminars, including achieving the Orff Certification here in Melbourne.

The following lists my music qualifications:
BA(Hons) Music (UK)
ABRSM Grade 8 Piano
ABRSM Grade 6 Theory
Rockschool Grade 5 Band-based Keys (Distinction)
Trinity Rock & Pop Grade 8 Keyboard (Distinction)
WSQ Music Pedagogy for Early Childhood Education
Orff Certification, Level 1 (Melbourne)
“Music for Little Mozarts” Teacher’s Certification Seminar (Bangkok)
Diploma in Music and Audio Technology

About the lesson

I focus my teaching on beginner piano, learning to play pop songs on the piano to accompany your singing, and conversion to playing pop songs for classically-trained musicians. I endeavour to make each lesson fun and creative, and I tailor my lessons to individual needs.

Isabel is not only a very naturally talented musician, but also a great teacher. She's able to translate her wide knowledge in piano playing and her love for music in an effective and empathetic way - tailored to individual students' needs.

She makes lessons fun, yet also focuses on proper techniques and musicianship. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to start learning piano, or further their piano skills!

I have known Isabel for many years and have seen her performing or have collaborated together in many church events. She is able to adapt well to the different song leaders and the other band members well. She also is able to explain the music in a simple way that layman can easily understand. Great team player, always a joy to work with.
