About Mark
I am a native speaker of German and have experience teaching the language at both the basic and advanced levels. I speak German standards (eg no Bavarian or Swiss dialect) and have worked with the language as a radio reporter and copy editor. Having lived in Indonesia for several years, I also speak some Indonesian.

My preferred method of teaching is to read a text together or watch or listen to a documentary in German and then answer several questions, some in writing and some orally. I will correct any mistakes you make and take a note of common errors to work on those some more. That way, the lesson will be based on an interesting subject and you will learn to read (1), listen (2), write (3) and speak (4). This is the immersion method and replicates the natural way of learning a language.
