About Daphne

I am a Physics Master’s graduate with advanced training in mechanics, electromagnetism, and quantum mechanics, as well as research experience in high-energy particle and nuclear physics. My background combines rigorous academic study with hands-on research, giving me both the depth of knowledge and the clarity of explanation needed to help students succeed. I am dedicated to delivering professional, reliable, and effective tutoring that builds confidence and mastery in physics.

About the lesson

I offer personalized tutoring for high school, undergraduate, and graduate level students who want to deepen their understanding, improve grades, or prepare for exams.
My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I focus on making abstract concepts clear through step-by-step reasoning, real-world examples, and problem-solving practice. I tailor lessons to each student’s pace and goals, whether that means breaking down fundamentals or tackling advanced topics. I emphasize gaining a deep understanding through problem solving as opposed to memorization.
A Typical Lesson Plan will depend on what we discuss before hand, but as a general outline I find the following to be helpful:
1. Quick review of the last session or concepts you’re struggling with
2. Step-by-step explanation of today’s topic
3. Guided problem-solving with increasing difficulty
4. Independent practice problems with feedback
5.Wrap-up with key takeaways and suggestions for next steps
What Sets Me Apart?
I combine research-level knowledge with clear, patient explanations. With experience in high-energy particle/nuclear physics and optics, I bring real-world physics applications into lessons. My students appreciate that I can adapt on the fly—if you have a tough question, I’ll meet you there and work through it with you.
Who My Lessons Are For?
-High school students taking AP/IB Physics or preparing for college
-Undergraduates in physics, engineering, or related majors
-Graduate students needing extra support in advanced mechanics, electromagnetism, or quantum mechanics
-Anyone curious about physics and wanting to strengthen their problem-solving skills
If you’re struggling with a tough class or want to build confidence in physics—ask, I’m there.
