About Abigail
Hello Students,
My name is Abigail, and I am thrilled to be your teacher this year. I am in my final year of university, and I am passionate about teaching because I want to make a difference in the way students learn and grow. I have been teaching for seven years, and while it has had its ups and downs, the joy of helping learners succeed always makes it worthwhile.
When I was in school, I never really had a teacher who could sit with me one-on-one and patiently give me the extra help I needed. That experience inspired me to become the teacher I always wished I had—someone who is patient, encouraging, and committed to helping every student succeed.
I truly enjoy helping others, and I believe that learning is a journey we take together. I am also learning along the way, growing alongside my students, and discovering new ways to make lessons engaging and meaningful. My goal is to create a supportive classroom where you feel confident to ask questions, explore new ideas, and reach your full potential.

Hi! I’m Abigail, a final-year B.Ed Intermediate Phase student with 7 years of teaching experience. My approach to private tutoring is learner-centred, creative, and encouraging — I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely engaged.
What makes me unique as a tutor is my background in English and Creative Arts, which allows me to bring creativity, discussion, and interactive activities into every lesson.
I focus on building understanding rather than rote learning, helping learners develop strong language skills while also enjoying the process.
I teach in English, and my lessons are structured but flexible, tailored to each learner’s needs and pace. A typical lesson includes clear explanations, guided practice, creative or interactive activities, and time for questions and reflection. I aim to build both academic skills and confidence.
My lessons are best suited for Intermediate Phase learners, as well as students who need extra support with English, confidence-building, comprehension, writing, or creative expression. I create a positive, motivating environment where learners feel supported and challenged — and where learning is never boring.
