About Mária Magdolna
I am a violinist from Hungary - I have completed my Masters Degree in Teaching at the University of Debrecen, and in the meantime I have given violin lessons in various music schools in Hungary. I have played actively in various professional orchestras.
From this year I started the Artistic Master's program at the Lemmens Institute.
Since my first year at the university I teach private lessons, I have experience with both children and adults.
I was teaching for years in music schools in Hungary and in Belgium as well.

First I always ask my students: do you have a goal with playing the violin?
Children and adults have different motivations to play.
With adults we often work towards a level where they can play their favourite pieces. We set that as goal, and start to work the technical base to achieve the level of those pieces.
With children I try to teach by playing, I often follow the Suzuki method, Color Strings method, but I am also familiar with other methods as well. My specialisation at university was teaching children from a very young age.
With children we also set a goal, if they have anything in their mind to play we set that as a goal. I also often rewrite pieces to a level where the student can play it.
Besides these goals I am constantly working on the students technical abilities, construct a practicing habit and prepare them to practice and developing in their own practice as well.
If your the student already has a teacher, but needs someone to practice with, giving ideas, or just control their practice I am open for that option too.
