About Brian

Hi! I'm Brian, a music educator, producer, and audio engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience teaching piano to kids, teens, and adults.

- Teaching Philosophy: I believe learning the piano should be inspiring, engaging, and stress-free. My goal is to build genuine confidence and creativity at the keys, no matter your starting level or personal musical goals.

- Instructional Approach: Guided by patience, empathy, and clear encouragement, I focus on sparking a genuine passion for the instrument, giving students the practical drive and solid foundations needed to improve steadily and enjoy every step of the process.
Feel free to send a direct message to discuss your or your child's musical goals or to ask any questions!

About the lesson

I provide students with the foundational tools needed to truly understand music from the ground up, creating an engaging, supportive space to experiment and grow.

- Student-Centered Learning: Lessons should be motivating, entertaining and meaningful, especially for younger students, which is why we focus directly on the songs and pieces students choose to learn.

- Practical Adaptation: We take your favorite tracks and rearrange them to match your current technical skill level, ensuring immediate progress and fun from day one.

- Musical & Technical Analysis: Beyond memorizing keys, we break down what you are playing and why it works musically, building ear training and chord understanding.

- Lifelong Independence: The ultimate goal is to equip students with practical problem-solving skills and habits so they can teach themselves and continue playing independently long after our lessons.

Brian is a great pianist and an even better teacher. He’s patient and clear, tailoring each lesson to what you want to play, whether that’s classical, pop, or jazz, while ensuring you build solid fundamentals. He breaks difficult pieces into manageable steps and keeps lessons relaxed and encouraging, so you actually look forward to practicing. I’d recommend him to any student, beginner or advanced.

Brian is hands down the best piano teacher I’ve ever had. He makes everything simple, the theory actually makes sense, and his way of explaining things in practice makes learning so much easier.

After struggling with other teachers, I honestly started wondering if I was just a terrible student. But Brian could probably teach a chimpanzee to play Mozart.

5 stars. Highly recommend!
