About Mohamad
I am currently working on my PhD in Materials Engineering at McGill. My previous degrees are MSc in Mechanical engineering and BSc in Mechanical Engineering with an engineering management minor. For 6 years prior to starting my PhD, I held full-time positions as a mechanical engineering Instructor/Lab Specialist/Teaching assistant. My teaching experience gave me the ability to understand and adapt to different students' thinking processes which is key for me to help their understanding. Moreover, I taught multiple tutorials and labs in various areas of the major (areas of solid mechanics, thermo-fluids, Control Processes, etc..). I do enjoy passing the knowledge and simplifying concepts to students. I can be available to teach at a last minute request but I prefer to have at least 24 hours prior to a class. I always make sure to come fully prepared and always encourage students to not hesitate to ask any question needed.

My approach is to simplify concepts before applying them to complex problems. A typical class with me will first make sure the main concepts are well understood (by clear examples). The student will be encouraged to always ask me questions whenever needed. If no questions are asked by the student, I make sure to ask questions to confirm the student's understanding. I focus on teaching undergraduate level mechanical engineering courses (different areas).
