About Noor
I am passionate about creating learning tools and environments that allow students to have power and agency in their learning experiences. During my PhD I studied how best to instruct students to empower them during the learning process. I have published research on this and used such strategies in my own classrooms, effectively improving university student academic performance.

I specialize in 3 main things: 1) Conducting published research on creating tools that focus on improving student learning 2) Teaching university statistics and psychology using evidence-based strategies. Consistently high student performance as well as student rating of teaching. Technique: 1) assess and establish what a student knows and doesn't know 2) create a plan on how to bridge gaps in knowledge or fix misunderstandings 3) administer teaching plan 4) continually assess students learning progress and adapt teaching strategy to ensure student's total understanding and success 3) Mentoring students: high-school -> university success university -> grad school success grad school -> career success
