About Madalin
I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in Physiology and Medical Sciences. Throughout my academic career, I developed a strong foundation in the sciences, particularly biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology. My experience as an EMT has further expanded my knowledge by allowing me to see how these subjects translate into real-world healthcare situations.
Outside of academics, I bring a patient, approachable, and dependable attitude to my work. I understand the dedication it takes to succeed in challenging courses, and I value the effort students put into their education. I enjoy working with people, sharing what I've learned, and helping students feel more confident in their academic abilities. I take pride in being someone students can feel comfortable learning with and turning to for support.

My approach to tutoring begins with understanding the “why” behind what a student is learning. I break down complex subjects into manageable pieces, build a strong foundation, and gradually work toward mastery. I incorporate practice questions, active recall, and real-world examples to help students move beyond memorization and develop a deeper understanding of the material.
A typical lesson begins by identifying areas of difficulty and reviewing foundational concepts before working through problems together. As the student gains confidence, we build toward more independent application and problem-solving. I tailor each session to the student's individual needs, learning style, and goals, whether that means preparing for an upcoming exam, strengthening understanding of a challenging subject, or developing more effective study habits.
With a background in physiology and medical sciences, EMT experience, and a strong academic foundation, I bring both scientific knowledge and practical application into my teaching. I work with students who want to build confidence, understand challenging material, and develop the skills to succeed beyond the classroom. My goal is to help students not only perform well on exams but also build knowledge they can apply in the future.
