About Daniel

I started having piano lessons at the age of 6 in Hungary and from the age of 9 I was a student of the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest. I gave my first concert at the age of 11 and have been a prize winner at many international competitions through my teens. In 2010 I was accepted to study at the Royal Academy of Music on a full scholarship where I completed my Bachelor and Masters degrees with distinction, and later a postgraduate diploma at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. In 2015 my performing career took off and I have given concerts (solo recitals, chamber music, concertos) in the UK, Europe, the USA, South America and the Far East. My repertoire ranges from early baroque to contemporary music. Because of a busy performance schedule occasionally I will have to ask to reschedule, so some flexibility is much appreciated!! I do have a Bluthner grand piano at home that I can teach on but it is in pretty bad shape and badly out of tune, BUT I do prepare for all my recitals on it and perfectly fine to teach with, but that is up to you! If I am needed to travel to you please cover the travel expense on top of hourly fee.

About the lesson

I have over 10 years of experience of teaching at any level from complete beginners privately to working with professional music students internationally in masterclasses. Aside from helping you master the instrument from a technical aspect my teaching will help you gain a deeper understanding of the language of classical music (harmony, formal analysis, style), and will focus on developing your aural skills as well.

Daniel is a very professional pianist and is very professional in his teaching. His playing is always inspiring which brings out the brilliance of the music. He also has a really depth of knowledge for the pieces he is teaching. When doing demonstrations, his style of approach is very targeted towards the areas that I need the most improvement with, particularly it is very clear to understand what/how to improve. He makes things much easier to understand and follow and his training directs me to look at things in different ways/angles that I wasn't aware of or didn't think before. I would highly recommend Daniel for a piano teacher.

Daniel has been my 2 daughters piano tutor for 2 years. During that 2 years, Daniel not only taught piano playing but also music theory for their ABRSM exam which is very useful for their musical journey. He also helped us to choose a good upright piano for daily practice which is very much appreciated.
Daniel is very patient, knowledgeable and enthusiastic towards music. My daughters enjoyed every single lesson with him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to learn piano and enjoys music！
