About Kristófer

My name is Kristófer (Kris) Reyes. I'm a professional football player and an online strength and conditioning coach based in Thailand. I've been an athlete my whole life and started coaching at 16.

I've played at many levels of the game: Iceland's 1st and 2nd divisions, national-team projects around Asia, and professional football in Thailand. Together with coaches and players I've met abroad, I developed Matchday Protocol, and we now coach professional players as well as U19 and U15 players.
As a young player, I often put a lot of work into training that did little for my performance on the pitch. That's why I built MdP: so the work you do off the pitch shows up on it.

Matchday Protocol (MdP) is an individualized training system for football (soccer) players, built so you can perform when it matters.
With this service I offer personalized training for football. It is for football players only, and it is adjusted every week around your team trainings, friendly matches and official matches (if you have any). It works on all the physical qualities a footballer's body needs.

MdP is not one plan for a whole team, and it doesn't replace your team training. It adds to it. Team training is built for the team, not for your position, your weaknesses, your recovery or your match readiness. MdP fills that gap so you improve week by week, stay injury-free through the season and arrive at every match fresh and sharp.

How it works:

Weekly check-ins on your fatigue, training load, how your body felt on matchday, any stiffness, and next week's schedule.
A plan built around your matchday: Recover, Build, Protect, Prime, Perform. That means recovery the day after the match, the main strength and speed session four days before, low-load injury prevention three days before, a speed primer two days before, and light activation the day before.
Individualized: together we decide how many sessions fit your week, and the exercises are chosen for your position, needs and goals.
Training methods: isometrics, plyometrics, heavy strength work, speed and injury prevention, with every session one hour or less.
Anywhere: with or without a gym.
To get the best results I need honest answers about your strengths, weaknesses and fatigue. In return, every week of training is aimed at matchday.
