About Marianne
Hi--I'm Marianne! I spent 7 years in a PhD program for clinical psychology before leaving with my Master's to pursue another path in life. My focus was in neuropsychology, studying the relationships between the brain, cognition, and behavior. I now work as a psychometrist, where I administer neuropsychological tests to patients with cognitive and psychiatric disorders. Together with a neuropsychologist, I help identify recommendations and compensatory strategies based on the patient's strengths and weaknesses.
I have ample experience conducting research, applying appropriate statistical analyses, and writing scientific research articles; and I love to help students in these areas! I taught several undergraduate courses (Psychobiology and Interpersonal Psychology), worked as a TA (Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Assessment), and guest lectured for graduate courses in in Neuropsychology. I also mentored--and continue to mentor--undergraduate and graduate students in research methods, statistics, and neuropsychological assessment.
My educational background and work experience in the field of psychology has provided me with an in-depth understanding of how the mind works and how we learn. I love to teach and would love to help you with your tutoring needs!

GREAT TUTOR
I was literally on the verge of tears because of this course I am taking, and I explained to her how I needed her to do baby steps with me. She went over SOOO much with me. I truly feel like I understand how to structure and organize my essay for my research methods class. I am definitely going to attend more sessions with her. SHE IS SO NICE AND PATIENT!!!
