About Diya
I currently completed my Master's of Research degree in September 2020, specializing in Neuroscience (Newcastle university). Earlier I completed my integrated undergrad and postgrad (B.Tech & M.Tech) in Biotechnology (KIIT university, India). Looking forward to gain valuable academic experience here.

I believe that a teacher's modus operandi to teach a subject is to make the students want to learn it. So, I always infuse quizzes and one to one discussions while I am introducing a new topic. This enables a young brain to retain knowledge in the long term memory.
I would focus on a building up the fundamental knowledge strongly, and then try to make my students understand how this fits almost everywhere (Analogies). I would encourage students to make simple notes that they could refer to later when they want.
In short, studies should be fun and interactive for young students or else they start losing interest.

Diya is a research student and about to embark upon her PhD. In the time that I have known her, I have always seen her think about and analyse biological concepts. Discussing research results and biological phenomenons with her is an intellectual treat! She reads books thoroughly and never settles for superficial knowledge. Her way of explaining concepts, especially about Neuroscience is so simplistic and effective. Learning Biology from her will be a wonderful journey for any student!
