About Han

With a PhD in Biosciences and over a decade of hands-on scientific experience, I help students move beyond rote memorisation to truly master complex concepts. My expertise spans both wet-lab (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) and dry-lab (Bioinformatics) environments. Drawing on my background as a university academic and my current studies in Master of Secondary Teaching, I specialise in breaking down challenging scientific problems and equipping students with the systematic tools they need to succeed in their own studies.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach:
- Immediate Problem-Solving: We start by tackling the most urgent challenges you are facing in your coursework to ensure you never fall behind.
- Developing Scientific Thinking: I guide you in approaching scientific problems logically, teaching you how to analyse data, optimise solutions, and sharpen your observational skills.
- Exam & Assignment Strategy: I break down complex core concepts to provide you with clear, targeted frameworks for answering assignment prompts and maximising your final exam scores. It would be great if you can arrange the revisions with me at least 4 weeks before your exams.
- Specialised Focus: I tutor both high-school and university students, offering advanced support for intensive Biology coursework within Bachelor of Science, Biomedical Science, and Biotechnology programs.

Excellent! Explains things directly without waffling and allows space for me to ask questions and express my thoughts unlike some tutors I have come across. I like the way you appreciate my input instead of dominating the whole session, ie a more collaborative approach to teaching rather than death by PowerPoint.
