About Terry

He has been a prize recipient for multiple competitions such as BMC Solo Piano Competition, PAC SAI Competition, Benno Rubinyi Competition, Southern California Philharmonic Concerto Competition. Terry received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from UCLA under the tutelage of David Kaplan and is currently pursuing his Master of Music from UCLA with Inna Faliks under a full tuition scholarship. Within the community, he was invited to perform as a soloist for UCLA’s 2022 and 2024 Chancellor Recital as well as a private recital for the university’s faculty club.

Throughout the years, Terry has made appearances at Vivace Music Festival, Brevard Music Festival, Mannes Piano Festival, Borromeo Music Festival, and Bowdoin International Music Festival. I had the chance to take some piano classes with Terry, and I honestly couldn't recommend him enough. He's got this amazing, warm energy that makes you feel comfortable, even when I was shy about my playing. Our lessons ended up helping me win my local MTAC competition and improved my playing so much! He's super smart, and has great taste. If you're looking for someone to teach piano, Terry's your person.
