About Jenny

I believe in the importance of theatre and the power of storytelling. It is a pleasure to work with actors at any level to help them connect to the story and grow as artists. My training and experience have exposed me to many techniques and equipped me with several tools within my acting/directing tool box. We will work together to determine what is best for you. I have taught many different age groups (school age, university students, adults) all at varying stages of development. My Training: BA Theatre - Western Kentucky University, Certificate of Completion - Summer Course The Oxford School of Drama, MFA Directing for Theatre - East 15 Acting School (including month long intensive at GITIS-Russian Institute of Theatre Arts).

About the lesson

I believe students learn best through doing and then receiving positive, honest and constructive feedback. We will work together to establish your needs and goals, and set a time frame that gets you where you want to be. Lessons are 30 minutes or 60 minutes in length and will be decided upon prior to the start of the lesson. I hold an MFA in Directing for Theatre from East 15 Acting School and have many years of experience directing and teaching professionally. Lessons can be tailored for any age or experience level.

Jenny is a thoughtful, caring, creative teacher and artist. She knows how to meet actors wherever they are and provide both the support and challenges they need to take their work to the next level. I've had the chance to observe both the process and product of her work with acting students at various levels of skill and experience, and I've been impressed every time!

Jenny helps actors achieve excellence in their work. Through her thoughtful and grounded approach to the text, she guides them to mine the utmost truth and vulnerability. Having worked with Jenny as a director, I always felt excited by the process when I came to a rehearsal. She not only got the performers to work to the top of their intelligence but helped me as the writer make exciting discoveries along the way.
