About Helena
I am a current student at La Trobe University completing a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences. I will begin my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2027 and plan to have a career as a conservation and domestic animal Veterinarian. Prior to my current degree, I completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology, at the University of Melbourne. I really enjoy teaching and supporting my students' confidence as they complete their final years of high school. Through my own experience studying at university, I have developed many study strategies and ways of approaching particularly tricky concepts. I am patient and understanding of how intimidating it can be learning new and more advanced topics. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, spending time with my cat, painting, and reading.

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Zoology) from the University of Melbourne (2020) and have recently completed my first year of the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences at La Trobe University, where I currently maintain a WAM of 94.
I have several years of experience tutoring students from grade 10 to 12, in both one on one and small group sessions. I have found that 1 to 2 hour sessions are best suited for these year levels. The frequency of sessions can be tailored to the needs of the individual student and as I am currently on holidays from university, my availability is flexible.
My past students appreciated my calm and patient approach to teaching.
